What we could have done differently? (new year eve) --- 31st Dec 2006

Spent New Year Eve with my secondary sch friends this year as per the norm. But there are a couple of exceptions this year. As in those people present are a little different from those of the past few years. Firstly, Lolanto who had been missing for the past 6 years ever since we graduate from secondary school played a major role in the planning of the activity for the day itself. Another guy by the name of Guo xing came as well, though we haven’t been in contact due to some nasty events a couple of years back. So yea, these are the pleasant surprises that we had for the gathering on New year eve.

What we planned to do for that day is to have a Makeshift BBQ which is supposed to last the night till after midnight. The very reason for that is to appease one of the guy in our group. That is so because should we not do so, then that guy will ask us what other plans do we have etc and that is the most feared question cos there’s really nothing much to do! The worst thing is that he likes to go for countdowns which most of us hated.

So the end to the first part of the gathering kinda ended in a rather ugly fashion. Cos that guy I was talking about didn’t want to go ktv with us, so he decided to leave and join his other friends for countdown.

But well, overall, I would say that the gathering was quite a pleasant one. It had been such a long time since so many of us are together. So yea, it’s really good to gather like this.

Well…. But the question at the back of my mind all the while is that could we have done something differently so that no one will have to forsake the group and all will be happy?

Seriously, I really can’t think of any thing which we could have done to as to appease everyone. If we were to go for the countdown, then many of us would not be enjoying ourselves as well.

Why must ppl always be this difficult? Why!!! But I guess that’s also why we emerged as the dominant life form surviving on planet earth! Lolx!
